Number one on Google search - Faithful Devotion

Hello Dear Reader,

I just did a search on Google for Faithful Devotion, and I'm pleased that not only is my book number one on the list, but the first several listings are also mine. Could this be a sign that America is ready for a movie about a true American hero? Please take the poll on the right side of this blog.

Thank You!

Someone is selling my book, Faithful Devotion on eBay

Someone from Australia has been listing my book for sale on eBay since May 2010. I have written the seller three times, to find out more about this, and to see how my book is selling, but have not received an answer.

Maybe I need to give my own feedback about the seller not responding.

See the eBay ad below:

I find this very interesting, especially since I have not been paid any royalties by my publisher since February 2010. Also the eBay listing first was at $29.95. Now, it's "reduced" to $24.49. Much higher price than the Amazon listing below.

How to release fear and negative energy

The best way to release fear and negative energy is simply think of it as a big fart! lol Dissipate all that negative energy into nothing, because it doesn't really exist.

If you carry fear with you, it's like having an open door to invite things to be afraid of into your life. Negative energies, and fear is certainly one of them, become form in our lives over a period of time. That is, you will manifest exactly what you fear.

OR, conversely, you can manifest positive energy in your life, the things you want in your life, by keeping a positive, open, loving attitude.

Fear is the opposite of love, not hate. Fear lets in all negative energy, creating the things and experiences you don't want, and love opens the door for more good, abundance, more love in your life.

Don't get hoisted by your own petard! Let that negative energy go! You do not need it in your life! It does you no good!

Replace all fear and negative energy with LOVE. Just fill your heart with love and graditude for all the beauty you have in your life, and watch your life blossom.

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

"Hey Spook!"

"I saw you boarding the plane, knew you didn't want to be recognized and this was the first chance I could get to get back here, to speak to you. I got a couple of reporters with me, and they didn't recognize you."

"The beret, sunglasses, dark mustache, and Green Beret uniform were quickly and easily remembered. When these recognition features were removed like a disguise, I disappeared."

Holloween is one day a year, when people change their identity, with a degree of "Self-abandonment." It's the one day of the year where little boys can be Superman, Batman or a Prince. Little girls can be Princeses, Wonderwoman or Elasta girl, and fully identify with the character, forgetting, briefly, their identity.

"Spooks" practice Self-abandonment every day. The above scenes from Faithful Devotion, are related to Pete's homecoming back to America, after being released from 28 days of solitary confinement, in Vietnam. The Green Beret Murder Case, (1969)

Last Dance, Last Chance

"Last dance, yes it's my last chance for love. I need you, by me, beside me, to guide me. To hold me, to scold me, 'cause when I'm bad, I'm so so bad!" Last Dance - Donna Summers, 1978.

This disco hit of the late '70's was a favorite of mine and Pete's for dancing. Pete loved it, because it started out slowly, then suddenly turn into that great disco beat, and we'd spin right into our "Push - Pull," Mambo routine.

One night we were at our favorite place in Orlando for dining and dancing, The 94th Aero Squadrom, Pete was wearing a nice dark blue suit and tie, I was wearing his favorite "spaghetti straps" danceskin bodysuit and wrap around skirt, also dark blue. My high heels were about 5" and were "glass." Yes, I wore glass high heal shoes with silver straps. It was actually a hard plastic I guess, but they looked like glass.

On this night, the DJ started out with Last Dance, and I was rearin to go. After stumbling around with the slow part of the song, as I anticipated the beginning of the fast tempo, I started tapping my foot to the silent beat, as the song pauses just before the tempo picks up. This seemed to get attention, and I can remember hearing some laughter and snickers from the crowd, and I smiled, but I was intently looking at Peter, waiting for that timing to turn into our Push - Pull routine.

It was great fun in the ole' disco days!

Time for a movie about true American hero?

Dear Fellow Americans,

I am Lisa M. Smith, wife of the late "Peter" Alvin Louis Smith, Jr. former Green Beret, arrested for the murder of his double agent, Chuyen Thai Khac. Peter, as he was called, and seven other men were held in solitary confinement for 28 days in Vietnam. President Nixon stepped in, and had the charges dropped.

The case became known as The Green Beret Murder Case, 1969 and is the focal point of my book, Faithful Devotion.

Faithful Devotion is a bibliography of my husband's writings. His writings were all for his Faithful Devotion to keep America free. That is, to keep America free from Communist threat.

He had written enough material for 10-12 manuscripts, for people such as the President of the United States to Reverend Jerry Falwell.

Born in Washington, DC, Peter literally spent his life faithfully devoted to America's freedom. He was a veteran of WWII. He was an officer in The Korean Conflict where he commanded 1400 Korean Guerrillas.

Peter also was vice consul of Port Said, Egypt; which was the first of his CIA assignments.

There is so much action packed into Peter's life story, that it really would make a better movie, than a book.

One great Hollywood scene is when, at age 23, Pete leaves his post in Korea, and walks out of the command post to see his troops had formed a 1400 men, mile long human corridor to the port, where a boat was waiting for Pete.

As he walked the mile through the human corridor, each man present arms to him, and shouted the Korean word "T'ujaeng!" meaning, I will fight for you!

When I asked Pete how he felt at this moment in his life, he could not find the words to answer. He looked away. The feeling behind his look was that it totally overwhelmed him. The feelings he had for his men were mutual to their show of love and respect for him.

I am currently seeking a movie producer to create Faithful Devotion into a movie. It has been too long since Americans have seen a movie about a true American hero.

Clint Eastwood's Biography

Dear Reader's,

Following a link from where Clint Eastwood's picture was, I had the pleasure of reading Mr. Eastwood's Biography.

It brought back an old memory of my husband, Pete. When his daughter Marianne was a little girl, she was Rowdy Yates' biggest fan.

Clint Eastwood got his breakthrough at the end of the 50's decade with the TV series Rawhide, where he was a cast member for six years. As Rowdy Yates, he made the show his own and became a household name around the country.

Pete, his wife, Mary, their son, Kevin, and daughter Marianne spotted Clint Eastwood in a restaurant (can't remember where it was, Las Vegas, California, I'm not sure) but Marianne would not sit still, and kept saying, "Rowdy Yates! It's Rowdy Yates!"

Finally, her dad took her up to meet him, and he was very gracious, indeed. I believed he even autographed something for Marianne.

I also am quite glad to see that although Clint Eastwood would not be likely to act again, he will continue to direct films.

"You don't often get an ex intelligence officer spilling the beans in a James Bond style movie."

The movie industry still in the economic doldrums and number of movie deals being picked up continues to be slow. This is following the same patten as the literary industry, very few publishers taking any risks,so few good stories around. The good news is that the idependants seem to be moving forward. The most recent buzz over a new Author s two book deal ( John Coventry/Benbella Books) is that you don't often get an ex intelligence officer spilling the beans in a James bond style.! Movie Companies seem at least keen to get their hands on this. But I think we have a long way to go to get back to the bullish past years of Hollywood.

Special Forces move Vietnamese Prisioner on Friday the 13th

"Pete" telling the press, "No agent was killed in Vietnam."
"I got six Special Forces trooper volunteers as guards. After they volunteered to escort us to the airport, I told them that I had to move a Vietnamese national from the detachment, and North Vietnamese Intelligence may try to rescue or kill my prisoner. A doctor put Chuyen to sleep. He was placed on a stretcher, and taken to an ambulance. They were instructed to shoot down any Vietnamese who tried to get close to the ambulance. At the detachment, as the guards and I were checking our weapons just before leaving, one of them asked me if I was superstitious. The reason for the question, I then realized, was that it was Firday the 13th."  Peter Smith, Faithful Devotion

American's are ready for a movie about a true American hero.

The late breaking news about General Lavelle being demoted to a major due to his acts in Vietnam, which were all for the good of his country, is parallel to the Vietnam true story told in Faithful Devotion.

See how Pete, in his Faithful Devotion  wrestles with wanting to keep the story undercover, but also wanting the truth to be known to his superiors. He also feels that his own murder has been plotted, and then the truth would never be told.

"At this point, I had no idea of what I was going to do. Under the circumstances, I didn't want the story of the murder to get out. The alternatives were all considered. I thought of telling the Sergeant Major and MSC Coulter the story and telling Crew I had told them. I rejected this on the basis that it was all hearsay and the two could be transferred and the murder still effected. I could go to Rhealut, as I didn't think he would allow the murder to take place. However, I did not trust him, as he had not told the general the truth. If I had gone to CID [Counter Intelligence] they would have called the unit to come and pick up their "nut." The only place that could guarantee that the story be believed and could keep the case quiet was OSA." [Office of Special Assistance to the Ambassador. the accepted synonym for the CIA].

The truth coming out about General John Lavelle, is great fodder for my story, Faithful Devotion being made into a movie. Green Berets being arrested for murder of the hero's double agent. Peter Smith spent 28 days in solitary confinement in Vietnam, with seven other men. Peter was the only man against the murder, which is what brought the case to the media, and President Nixon then had the charges dropped.
Oh, by the way, General Lavelle even looks like Pete, the hero in my book.

Looking for a true American hero movie? Faithful Devotion is the one. I am currently seeking a producer, looking for actors to play parts, and a screen play writer to work with me.

A Scene in the movie Faithful Devotion

It is late Spring, 1983. Pete and I are elegantly dressed, walking up to the Officer's Club in Annapolis, Maryland. There is a group of young officers to our right. It is twilight time. I am walking up to the entrance of the club, and Pete is to my right, closer to the officers. With my eyes straight ahead, a scene unfolds in my peripheral vision.

One of the men says, "I'm in Love!" and pretends to faint, while his fellow comrade catches him, as gracefully as a beautifully, choreographed dance.

When we sat down at our table, Peter asked, "Did you see what those guys did out there?"

     "No, who?"

"Those young officers were all walking into the club with us, and one of them said, "I'm in Love!" He fell back and his friend caught him."

"Oh really?" I was just as surprised as Peter was, as I had not really processed what I'd seen peripherally. After a brief pause, I said, "Oh, is that what happened?"

"Yeah, I couldn't believe it. He just trusted his friend to catch him as he fell. They must know each other really well."

I just kind of shrugged it off with a smile at Pete, and looked forward to a wonderful meal, and a beautiful evening of dancing.

                                           *******

One night of our dancing really stands out in my mind. We were in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. ...at a popular dance club (in 1979). Pete always wore a jacket, or a suit and tie, and I always wore an elegant cocktail dress, and of course, high heals. We were dancing to MacArthur Park, by Richard Harris. The song is more than seven minutes long, and way before the end of the song, we were the only couple dancing.

After the song, we sat down, and almost immediately, this man, kind of tall, with longish white hair appeared at our table with another round of drinks for us in his hands.

With a slight British accent he said with a real sincere, serious look on his face, "I was just sitting here drowning my sorrows, when I looked up and saw the most beautiful sight of you two dancing. I just wanted to thank you."

And he handed us our drinks, which the waiter had told him to deliver. Pete and I were really stunned by this, as the guy looked and sounded exactly like Richard Harris. We just looked at each other wide-eyed and smiled. It was fun.

How to bless 100% of your life

Yesterday, July 26, 2010, I had a major breakthrough. I kept repeating the words I've learned from listening to David Owen Ritz. He says for most of us, 90% of our life is great, and it's only about 10% that needs work. He says to say this about that 10%.

This too is Good.

This too is God.

This too is for me.

And I DEMAND and Accept the blessing in it!

Last night as the last bit of the sun was setting, I stood on a small hill in my back yard, with my White Shepherd, Sunny. As I watched the sun go down, I said this prayer over and over again. The bright orange cloud behind the setting sun, began to take on the shape of eagle wings, taking flight. Beautiful, bright, golden-orange wings with a perfect V center, just glowing like fire.

I began to shape the words to speak to my heart, as well. I said, I demand to see the LOVE in it. Finally, I found the answer. LOVE. It always goes back to Love, as Love is the only True emotion. Love is the answer, and it was the love I have to have in myself, and unconditional love and acceptance of all. With that came the realization, like a tremendous wave sweeping me away, that this is the Love I kept singing I knew would come in Sade's wonderful, Soldier of Love.

I have read some of Sade's biography, and her interview in which she says, she was "in a cave, and just rolled out the boulder." I want to tell you, I have stepped into the flow of God, and all the boulders have been removed.

I give the Glory of my heart to God.

Thank You!

Lisa

Faith

Hello Dear Readers,

One may be a bit mislead by the title of my book being called Faithful Devotion. Please trust me, there was never an intention to be misleading. Those who have read the book, know where this title came from.

True, the book is not about Faith in the way one would normally think about it. The book, primarily is about war. It is about one man's faithful devotion to improve, protect and strengthen the freedom that is America's birthright.

However, the word faith plays a significant part in my life, as well. In Truth, all my glory, all the glory in my heart is given back to God, the source from whence it came.

I give God all the Glory that is in my heart, and that is the Truth behind all of my enthusiasm in this blog.

I once asked someone what his purpose was in life. He summed it up in one word. Forgiveness.

If I were to sum the purpose of my life into one word, it would be Faith.

The Nightingale,
Lisa

See what others have said about Faithful Devotion

Five Stars

Faithful Devotion, June 28, 2009

This book has all the elements of a good movie. There was intrigue, passion, love and devotion.

It starts off pretty technical, with military jargon and such , but is worth hanging in there for . The characters are well developed and seem so real. The story unfolds in a simple but realistic account. It leaves you with a tender smile.

I knew in a very rough way half your husband's story. In some circles, I suppose he was notorious, but he was much honoured in those I inhabited. We knew of him, but without knowing him. His court martial was one of the disgraces of the era, and many were delighted that it failed. I didn't of course know of the aftermath, or of you. I can't say I know the whole story now, either, but there was always that potential...with you in the lead.

Faithful Devotion movie soundtrack, Soldier of Love, by Sade video by Vevo

This song and video not only are perfect for the Faithful Devotion movie soundtrack, but they are so very personally, and intimately meaningful to me, in more ways than one could ever imagine.

Sade wears her hair exactly like I've worn mine, in all four shots of hers. The men stand with their hands on their hips, exactly like the hero, Peter, stands, in almost every picture I have of him.

I love horseback riding on the beach. Pete was a paratrooper. We loved ball room dancing...it just goes on and on, and as much as these coinsidences are uncanny, so are the words so amazingly tied to me.

Oh, and not to mention she says the words, Faith and Devotion almost in the same sentence.

See for yourself, and let me know who you think would be the best producer for the movie, on the poll to your right.

    Thanks!

    Faithful Devotion a movie

Sade's Soldier of Love, with her video (by Vevo), is ideal for the movie soundtrack of Faithful Devotion. It even looks similar to the James Bond type of movie introductions. Only better.
